This has been out for a while, but the people that were here last night (1/21/10) had not read it and wanted to, so we put it on the list for April. I have a copy, but I haven't had a chance to read it either, so I am happy it is on the list. It has gotten great reviews and is written in letter form, which some people like and some people don't. Another point to discuss

Our comments: We loved this book. The character development was wonderful. The authors did a great job of making everyone feel like they knew each character and really cared about what was going to happen to each one of them. We were talking about which actors and actresses that we thought would play the parts for the movie (which we are sure they will make). The historical aspect was very realistic. Diane did a little extra research about Guernsey during that time of the war, and several of the incidents in the book really happened on that island at that time. I think we would all love to visit the island.
