Due to a few early comments that I have received, The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet seems to be the lead runner in the choice for May. It is out in paperback. See reviews, author talk, and a video on the era (1940's Seattle) in the 1/29/2010 post below. If you have other suggestions, please let me know. I know that The Postmistress is another strong contender, but it is only out in hardcover at the moment. Let me know what you think.
The Postmistress by Sarah Blake (historical fiction). This is a brand new novel and is not out in paperback yet. It sounds wonderful.
I like to think that I can't be described in a short paragraph. Some adjectives: curious, caring, kind, generous, excitable, motivated, emotional, fun, organized. What do you think? Claire
