Our comments: We answered the discussion questions, and most of seemed to agree on our thoughts and feelings about South of Broad. Anything and everything that could happen in a book--happened in this one. It was typical Pat Conroy with a little more "juice." Most of his characters were dysfunctional - maybe a little too much to include in one story in one small town. The descriptions of Charleston made us want to visit the town immediately and his writing style was very eloquent. Overall, we enjoyed it, but would only recommend it to people that were familiar with Conroy's previous books.
