If you are bringing fleece to donate when you come that day, please cut the selvages off and wash it and dry it before donating. It would REALLY help me if you squared up each side and made sure each side was straight before I have to cut the holes. I have been cutting holes for hours this evening and I can give you a few tips when purchasing material - I find that patterns with lines, squares, patchwork easier to square up because you have a line to follow. I also find that material with a lighter background makes the holes easier to see than a darker background. I have been working with some material this evening that has a black background, and it takes twice as long to get the holes cut.
Also, if you are donating fleece, please donate a skein of yarn that blends, coordinates, etc. Many of the blankets that I have for you to work on are solids because they are the other half of the prints that I worked on. The solids look good with almost anything. I have used variegated, blending colors, opposite colors (see website for examples). It is really fun to mix it up!!! The best deal seems to be if you can find the kits when they are 50% off.
Hope you get a chance to check out the website and some of the beautiful blankets that have been worked on this year. We are ahead of the game so far, so let's keep it up!!
