I found an organization that will take any handmade items that we want to donate - blankets, hats, knitted items, etc. They have other items that they make on their website which I will include below. They also meet at Starbuck's Town and Country on Mondays and Memorial Drive Methodist Church on Tuesday mornings. I will go to their meeting next week with a few of our items just to make sure we are doing them according to their specifications. They are affiliated with almost all of the hospitals in the area and have several small sewing projects that you may also be interested in (they particularly need help with the heart-shaped pillows). This is her message to me:
Hi Claire,
Thank you for your inquiry.
We would be interested in distributing your handcrafted fabricworks. We are adding hospitals to our list regularly. Please visit our website at www.thecommonthreadcircle.org to see our current list of hospitals. We make deliveries several times a week and there is always a need for more items to donate.

I have also contacted Star of Hope Women's and Family Transitional Center and CPS-Children's Protective Services, but I haven't heard back from them yet.
Our new name is . . . . . Lots of Knots, and Books Too! Thanks for voting and I hope everyone likes the name. Thanks for all you are doing. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
