That was the end of our year as Lots of Knots. We had such a grand reunion at the August meeting, that I thought we would be going strong again. Unfortunately, it appears that several people are just not attending meetings, etc. and I am in the process of updating the mailing list to reflect that. I am SO very thankful for our core group. You have stuck with Lots of Knots through thick and thin and I think we are a great group of women. We will start anew in January.
I have added a new link to the web page called Mah Jongg. I will post updates, news, information about lessons, and hopefully some photos on that page when we get started in January. We seem to have a great group of women interested in the game. I know everyone is a little intimidated, but I just keep telling myself that if all of these other people can learn to play, so can I. I even saw a group of children playing on a website, so I'm sure we will understand it soon. I am anxious to get started.
We are also trying to organize a walking group in the mall. We did very well at first, but that is dwindling and changing all the time. If you are interested, let me know. It's not everyday because some of us have other classes in the mornings on certain days. I had to stop over the last two months because of my eyes, but my goal for January is to walk twice a week and do my Zumba twice a week. When I started that last September, I was already seeing great results in a week. The Zumba class that I go to consists of 5 ladies around my age and it is a fun class. It is not one of these revved up classes like you see on TV. We just stumble along and enjoy acting like we are learning to dance. I encourage you to try it. She will let you come to a class or two for free, I think, if you want to check it out. It is in a temporary building behind Spring Forest Middle School. I really enjoyed it until I had to drop out of it because of the eye surgery. Hopefully the worst of that is behind me now. For those of you that were at Project Linus yesterday morning, I want to give you an update on Dee. She is my mother's friend at the Terrace that makes blankets almost as fast as Amy. I square and cut them for her, and she loves doing it. Anyway, she was going to come to PL meeting yesterday and started having some heart problems. She went to the hospital and is there now. They are going to put a Pacemaker in her today and I assume she will be home in a couple of days. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She was at our Christmas dinner last year and has come to several meetings. I think that is it for now. Thank you Amy for the special treat last night. I just finished mine and it was delicious!!! Tom will be lucky if I save the other one for him. I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! We will see each other soon!
