Update on the Reunion

3/22/2010

We spent the weekend in Alexandria, Louisiana at my husband's high school reunion.  I won't say the amount of years!  It was a lot of fun and we won an award at the assembly.  They had an old fashioned assembly in the school auditorium the morning of the dinner/dance.  They told various stories, had a photo presentation with era music, and gave prizes to people that fit into certain categories.  We won for the couple that had been married the shortest amount of time (under two years).  After having to stand up and go on stage for that, we were the hit of the reunion that night.  All evening at the dance, everyone wanted to hear our story.  They thought it was great.  Like I told them, they didn't ask how long we had known each other - only how long we had been married.

We got to visit with family members in Alexandria and then went on to Baton Rouge Sunday morning.  We had a great day with the family there and made Easter eggs with the grandchildren.  Of course, Averie made the prettiest one, and Adyson helped.  We had an Easter Egg hunt in the house and the girls loved it.  All in all, it was a great weekend.

Now it is back to making blankets.  Actually I am going to start on my rag quilt this week.  I do have to prepare some blankets for the Word of Life lesson next week, but I am almost finished with those.  I am so glad that we may be getting some more people involved with our mission.  I am also hearing back about our commitment to 2 blankets a year per member.  I will send out a reminder at the end of this week.

Hope everyone had a great spring break and that the weather warms up a little - just a little though.

I would like to think that I can't be described in a short paragraph.  Some adjectives that come to mind:  curious, caring, kind, generous, excitable, motivated, emotional, fun, organized. What do you think?    Claire
