Amy S. found some additional blankets to donate when she was shopping at IKEA. They were fleece and as soft and warm as our no-sew blankets. She had the idea to sew or crochet a decorative edge on them and dress them up a bit. They were adorable.
We also donated all of the knitted scarves that we had, so if any of you are looking for a knitting project, you might want to get started on scarves. They are very easy to do with the basic knit stitch. I use the Thick and Quick yarn, and you can have a scarf knitted in no time. Perfect for all of these cold winter days we have been suffering through, and they will be ready for next fall and winter.

They definitely need and want more of our products, so we will continue to work on them all year. They feel that they need them for children more than adults, so you may want to consider that when making your material selections. Some of the other items that they need year round are: sheets (any size), towels, T-shirts, light weight jackets, and coats. These may be gently used. Thank you Betty for taking us on the tour. We appreciate it and all of the good work that everyone is doing there.
Thank you Cheri J. and Amy S. for coming with me and sharing the moment. Thanks again to Cheri J. for driving.
